3-Tool Development: Body. Mind. Skill.
The Why
Growing up playing basketball, the one thing I noticed more than anything was that the players who went the furthest were not always the most skilled. They were the ones who had something going on between the ears that the others did not. They competed differently. They handled pressure differently. They showed up to the next practice after a bad game with a chip on their shoulder instead of their head down.
Most training programs are focused on handles and shooting mechanics, and those things matter — but if you train the body and the skill without ever training the mind, you are only developing two thirds of an athlete. The players I work with are going to get all three.
True Pro Academy exists because I believe the tools that make a great basketball player — mental toughness, physical discipline, and real skill development — are the same tools that make a person successful everywhere in life. My goal is not just to make your player better on the court. My goal is to send them out into the world with a set of tools they can use forever.

Body
Physical discipline that makes your skills transferable at game speed — under pressure, when it counts.
Mind
Mental toughness — the lost art in development. Trained through the Inner Coach Project with the same structure, intention, and consistency you bring to the gym.
Skill
Real skill development — not generic drills. Every rep is built around your tendencies, your position, and your TPA Blueprint.
About Jace Hoffberg
I am a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Sports Management program and have been coaching basketball in the Knoxville area for the last three years. I grew up loving this game and have played it my whole life — but honestly, coaching found me before I ever went looking for it. Coming from a background where both of my parents were coaches, my dad used to tell me: "Don't get into coaching, you are going to fall in love with it." He was right.
My background in mental performance training is what sets the work I do apart from a standard training session. Through The Inner Coach Project — a platform I am building alongside my father through our company Hoffberg Coaching — I have developed a framework for training the mind the same way you train the body: with structure, intention, and consistency.
The athletes I work with do not just leave with a better jumper. They leave with a better understanding of who they are as a competitor.

Inner Coach Hours
The Inner Coach Project, developed by Hoffberg Coaching, is built to train the one thing most young athletes never work on: the voice in their head. The inner critic is the biggest thing holding players back — not the handle, not the shot. Within your Inner Coach Hours, you get direct access to me through:
This is not extra. This is the point.
The TPA Blueprint
Before any package begins, you'll receive your TPA Blueprint. Think of it as the agreement between coach, player, and parents — a shared understanding of exactly what we're working on and what it looks like to succeed by the end of the package. It's built collaboratively, shaped by what you tell us your athlete needs, not a generic evaluation. Everyone starts on the same page. That's the point.
How It Works
Your personalized development plan, built collaboratively between coach, player, and parents. No generic programming. Just your roadmap.
Training sessions and Inner Coach Hours, scheduled around your life. The work is focused. The standard is high.
Once the work is done, you walk away with a sharper skill set, a trained mindset, and a clear picture of what comes next.
