3-Tool Development: Body. Skill. Mind.
The Why
Growing up playing basketball, the one thing I noticed more than anything was that the players who went the furthest were not always the most skilled. They were the ones who had something going on between the ears that the others did not. They competed differently. They handled pressure differently. They showed up to the next practice after a bad game with a chip on their shoulder instead of their head down.
Most training programs are focused on handles and shooting mechanics, and those things matter — but if you train the body and the skill without ever training the mind, you are only developing two thirds of an athlete. The players I work with are going to get all three.
True Pro Academy exists because I believe the tools that make a great basketball player — mental toughness, physical discipline, and real skill development — are the same tools that make a person successful everywhere in life. My goal is not just to make your player better on the court. My goal is to send them out into the world with a set of tools they can use forever.

Skill
Real skill development — not generic drills. Every rep is built around your tendencies, your position, and your TPA Blueprint.
Body
Physical discipline that makes your skills transferable at game speed — under pressure, when it counts.
Mind
Mental toughness — the lost art in development. Trained through the Inner Coach Project with the same structure, intention, and consistency you bring to the gym.
About Jace Hoffberg
I am a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Sports Management program and have been coaching basketball in the Knoxville area for the last three years. I grew up loving this game and have played it my whole life — but honestly, coaching found me before I ever went looking for it. Coming from a background where both of my parents were coaches, my dad used to tell me: "Don't get into coaching, you are going to fall in love with it." He was right.
My background in mental performance training is what sets the work I do apart from a standard training session. Through The Inner Coach Project — a platform I am building alongside my father through our company Hoffberg Coaching — I have developed a framework for training the mind the same way you train the body: with structure, intention, and consistency.
The athletes I work with do not just leave with a better jumper. They leave with a better understanding of who they are as a competitor.

The Inner Coach Project
The two Inner Coach Project Mind Gym sessions are what make this program different from anything else in Knoxville.
